I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You know what is better than a four-day weekend? A three-day work week. Ahhhhh.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Man, those beets took forever to roast, and they still didn't get as soft as I would have liked. Next time I'm just going to cube them before I roast them. But they were still tasty -- I tossed them with balsamic vinegar and feta.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My beet hot tip is to wear latex or other gloves.

Mmm, beets with balsamic vinegar and feta sounds great! You know, I forgot when you brought it up earlier, but my usual practice is to toss the beets in the oven for about an hour (I don't go as high as 400, more like 350) and then turn the oven off but leave the beets in for a while, maybe even overnight. Same as I do with sweet potatoes much of the time.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Need advice because I have no spoons and cannot think. Spilled water on laptop. I thought I shut it down but apparently only restarted it. I flipped it upside down with paper towels inside to absorb water. Left it for two days. Opened it up tonight and at first it seemed to work but couldn't type and then screen went gray. It won't turn off. Apple is still lit up when closed. What should I do? Get a 5 lb bag of rice? Go ahead and make Genius Bar appt?

Unplug and take out the battery? Maybe take a hair dryer to it? I don't actually know.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'd say make Genius Bar appointment, but be aware that water damage voids the warranty.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Argh smonster! My DH recommends unplugging and taking out the battery as well.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Smonster, that sucks; I have no better advice than what has already been said.

Scandal made me so happy tonight!
