Well, if we followed the recipe...should be cake. A demon-violence-free-zone cake.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I don't think she would go for that.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Is the night before Valentine's a bad time to try to go out to dinner with a friend?

I wouldn't think so.

the tankless ones waste more water while you wait for it to heat up.

Oh really? I have been idly thinking about going tankless when I replace mine (not anytime soon, knock on wood). My parents did, or maybe partially? Maybe they just added a tankless heater to the kitchen. In any case, it ends up being way better for them because before the hot water had to get from the tank in the garage through many feet of dirt and/or concrete to get to the kitchen sink and naturally lost a LOT of heat in the process - now the wait for the water to heat up is way shorter so save both water and energy.

I should probably just insulate my pipes. I know that needs doing.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Y'all are making me glad that I am unlikely to ever be in a position to either buy or sell a house in this lifetime.

Me too.

I do, however, want ALL THE CATS, thanks to Anne's link.

I love owning a house. Even the onerous stuff. Like I should really go check the boiler pressure now that it's running and maybe bleed a radiator because it is running high (due to full expansion tank) and the pressure relief valve is doing its job, but that means a puddle but I'm catted.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I love owning a house. Even the onerous stuff.

I do too! MINE.

Decatted, but I had to go pat my semiawesome plaster job (also to reassure that the damned roof leak isn't affecting it. All good.) Letting boiler boil a bit. And leaning on radiator like my cats.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Had a nice dinner with my friend E at a local wine bar. Well, used to be a wine bar. Now they do cocktails too, so I got a tasty (but not awesome) cocktail and a nice glass of wine, and some crab cake sliders. We sat at the bar and watched "Cool Runnings" with the sound off.

And now I have the hiccups and I'm watching some nature show on PBS.

I went to a meet up with some ladies tonight. It was interesting. The girl who organized it seemed very cool, and there was a woman I knew there who is fun to talk to. Odd mix though--everything from a couple who were 22 and 24 to the woman I know who is in her 50s. Then I went dancing.

One week. One week and I will be going to Mexico!!!
