I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

It's a gloriously beautiful day in Utah today. Nearly a foot of snow fell in the mountains yesterday, so all that bare granite has a new blanket of white (about half a foot expected today in places). The sun is out, the fields are green, bright flowers all over the place, blue sky with big poofy clouds.

And we had a wildfire about five miles from my office on Monday and it should be in the 90s come Friday. Lots of water to encourage the grass and brush, and hot dry weather to dry it out, just in time for fireworks season!

Yay, spring in Utah!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Grousing: I just don't want to deal with this work stuff. I talked to my boss for an hour about my "target goal" for this year, and I still have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I hate arbitrary "goals". Who got the idea to treat every job as if it required continuous improvement? Why isn't it okay that I'm good at it and I continue to be good at it? I'm not in sales. I'm not seeking to advance in my career. I'm 15 years from retirement (I hope). Leave me alone and let me do the job I'm good at.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It just got boring, IMHO.

Fair enough! I stopped reading it a while ago for no apparent reason, so I guess I agree with you. I was kind of hoping it had gone off the rails in some entertaining way.

I think we're okay for broadband up there. (See map on page 4) [link]

I'm more concerned with the lack of light in winter. Something so Northern will definitely demand a tropical winter retreat.

The sky has gone ominous. I think we're in for a thunderstorm very soon.

Or a lot of crackling fires and napping.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The ominous sky has already passed here in Highland Park. Not much thunderstorming though, which surprised me.

Torrential downpour, yes. Big boom, no.

No boom today. Boom tomorrow. There's always a boom tomorrow.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Lovely house, but the number of deer head in it is comical.

And Connie, ugh, sounds like the weather god in Utah went on another bender. Must remember to send a missive to our family there and see how they are doing. Aunty just started treatments herself, but I think she's seeing someone in Provo, not up at Huntsman.
