I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I am so tempted to get some of those bags that supposedly let you make grilled cheese in a toaster, because grilled cheese is so amazingly tasty, but they have already taken away one toaster from us for safety concerns (grease on the crumb collector set off alarm bells with someone) so I am hesitant to push it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Ah. Other client's work is trivial and he says there's no rush so I'm leaving early anyway. Take that , work gods.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I may have to go to Panera for dinner.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Palazzo pants are great, but I'm always worried they make me look even fatter than I am. But narrow-leg pants make me look like a Tootsie Roll Pop, so I'm not sure it matters. There's no good option for pants, really.

I do normally get shrimp and grits on Tuesday, though. I'd have to give that up.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

::aghast:: Give up shrimp and grits? Never! Panera can wait a day.

Amy, glad to hear about the editing job! And being able to do it in indoor pants, that's always a plus.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Palazzo pants are terrible on me. I look even stumpier, if that were possible.

Yay, Amy, editrix! If that's not a word, it should be.

information libertarian

Pulling several threads together, I went to visit my SIL and niece in Children's hospital today, where the baby (14 months) is admitted due to something that is maybe not Bell's Palsy but has the same symptoms. She's getting IV antibiotics and they're going to do ear tubes tomorrow. My poor SIL had not had anything to eat since a OB sandwich at lunch yesterday, and I have never seen anyone inhale Panera like that. Even though nobody is that sick, everyone is very tired and the baby is hella cranky.

ETA: no palazzo pants were involved in today's adventure, although I do like a wide-legged pant, myself.

Because books.

Panera's mozzarella and tomato panini is incredible, and huge enough for two meals (for me). But I do love melty cheese of almost any kind.

Thanks for the yays, everyone! I'm excited.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You know, I never get the mozz and tomato. Maybe I will try it tomorrow!

Poor family of flea! Anything that involves bringing the baby to the hospital has got to be traumatic for all.
