Pro tip: Don't be managing editor on a digital publishing project without making sure you're the person giving the authors their guidelines for packaging the material before it comes to you. Also, if you can avoid becoming literally the only member of your department's staff, that would be good, too.

Left work, got home fine after just missing the bus, went to the supermarket and made the cashier's day when I thanked her for being there, and shoveled off the front steps. Now I'm waiting for the neighbor to finish snow blowing and I'm going to try to scrape down the sidewalk again.
