Because books.

Ooh, I change my vote to urban art.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I am retiring after a pretty great day. After brunch and painting, the kids and I grocery shopped (rare I can get both of them to go with me and get stuff that THEY like in addition to what I like), K-Bug made dinner, and then another friend came over for cake and Cards against Humanity.

Actual birthday will be a bit boring in comparison. Ah, well.

Not sure if I mentioned it, but CJ got me the basic Kindle, so I'm going to try to get back to being a more active reader. I need suggestions!!!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

-t, I think we should totally dress up to the nines for our Napa excursion.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Ooh, I change my vote to urban art.

I know I have a third one to round it out. I just have to find it.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Hey, omnis, good to see you.

Generally speaking I disapprove of verbing nouns or any other non-verb part of speech. However, I must admit that I rather like the newly verbed verb "to nope". It is both soothing to the ear and vividly efficient in conveying in one syllable the idea of backing away from some undesirable thing saying "Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope."

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I have a different reaction of Internet/fannish verbing nouns and nouning verbs than I do to corporate/organizational instances, and am much more likely to support the first.

Also, I can see the nope-topus in my head right now.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Argh -- I am SO ANGRY to be going to work right now. I'm definitely going to leave early, assuming I even make it in. This is ridiculous.

Stay safe, Jesse.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sorry, Jesse.

Now that you mention it, Lee, yeah, we should!

Do not want to be awake. Oh well.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

After two days of above-freezing weather, it's now below freezing, which means there's ice everywhere. So the walk to the train was a bit stressful. I am gonna transfer to a CTA train in Evanston on my way home, which will drastically reduce the amount of walking I have to do.
