Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Librarian Warlord

We are sometimes here, sometimes not, but our cleaning person has been cleaning for us for about 5 years now, and is our ex-nanny's sister, so we were comfortable with her from the start.

I'm always here when the cleaning service is working, but that's because I'm paranoid that the cats will get out/do something unfortunate/have problems.

My Mom's maid worked for her for over 30 years and became a family friend who house sat when Mom was out of town.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

We are usually here when the cleaners come, but we stay downstairs while they are upstairs and vice versa. They cleaned for the people who owned this house before us, and have been cleaning for us now for a couple of years, so we're fine leaving them alone.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I love the navy, but maybe with a tailored belt--no sash bow. And the skirt is adorable, but I really like the dress in the third link.

The sash bow is putting me off, I agree.

Edit: Oh, wait! It's removable! Crap. Back in the game, dress...

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

One of the crazy people is posting on the cancer list. I won't point out how remarkably fact free the article [link] she linked to is. I won't point out....

A sample:

Oxygen, hydrogen peroxide (which our bodies continually create ), air pollution (ozone), tobacco smoke, most chemotherapy drugs, radiation therapy and alcohol are among the more common and noteworthy free radicals in nature. Chemo and radiation are free radicals that work, hopefully, by killing more cancer cells than healthy cells. We are constantly “rusting” from within, just like a nail rusts outside. We can slow down this rusting with antioxidants, such as vitamin C and lipoic acid, but we cannot stop it completely.

I don't know about her, but I am not rusting from within.
