If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Rescue. Save the Bear!

I insist on Puffs Plus tissues.

There are things to scrimp on, but not that.

I have been sick and also unusually busy this week, and alas, I fell behind. Missed you guys! Highlights from the last week or so: I bought the most adorable owl suitcase, a much dreaded trip to the embassy to renew Luna's passport went way better than expected, I lost my voice (again, even though having my tonsils out was supposed to stop that), I finished a painting, and I nearly completed a scarf for Luna before realising the shade of yarn changed halfway through. One should really have better lighting when choosing yarn for a project. After several days of consideration I have decided to finish it anyway. It will be unique. Tonight we get to spend ridiculous amounts of money to eat lousy pasta at Luna's school. Always a joy.

So sorry about Wednesday, -t.

That bear frightens me. Do they truly not realize the wrongness of such a thing? I am all for handcuffs and all for teddy bears, but the two must be kept separate at all times!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Put in earplugs so I wouldn't be woken up by my neighbor leaving to walk the dogs, then put out the trash (the door she uses is right outside by bedroom window) but Nunya woke me up just now by standing on me impatiently and staring until I got up and let her out, where I could smell that some animal had marked my stoop. I don't know if it was a fox or the local tom, but both cats were extremely intrigued by it. At which point I shooed them back inside so they wouldn't get eaten by a fox or molested by the tom.

Walking disaster day. Pumpkin got startled sitting on my lap and raked my thigh and then I tipped a shelf onto my achilles. And I'm going to attempt plumbing?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Going to the FSGW Midwinter Fest (one day folk festival) today.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

sarameg, may your day get better.

Have fun storming the folk festival today, Sheryl.

How goes being a newlywed, Kat? (that's what the alluded-to visit to the courthouse was all about, right?)

I'm stiff and sore from work yesterday. I accompanied a couple people to a Valentine Dance. They had fun. The way I see it, if I go to a dance for work and my butt's more numb from sitting than my feet and legs are achy, I didn't do my job right.

Harvey, poor cat, doesn't get why I won't have him on my lap when my knees hurt. He didn't get enough snuggling yesterday. He also doesn't get why I don't want him on my lap when I'm eating breakfast. He didn't get enough snuggling this morning. Sammie on the other hand, is perched over my shoulder, very pointedly not looking at me. I believe she is attempting to make the point that I need more sleep, and sitting here typing isn't getting the job done.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Fair warning - I clicked on the 50 Shades bear to witness the horror for myself, and now ads for it are following me around. So if you're curious enough to see it once, incognito mode is your friend!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Since Mac is grounded and this pattern is getting ridiculous, he had to get up and come with me to the salon for my nail appt. He forgot to bring a book, so he is bored and trying tone as annoying as possible. Another pattern that I am well and done with. My nail lady is fascinted with my adoption so once she gets here, I expect her to ask him a million questions.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh mac! Funny how often kids need to learn things the hard way. Were we like that? Oh wait... yeah.

I just found a story Franny printed out last night. It's a Percy Jackson fanfic she and Isaac are writing together! Just the thing to remind me not to despair about my parenting techniques. They'll be just fine.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So far this morning I have taken Charlie to the groomers to be tortured for a few hours and now I am sitting outside Ross waiting for it to open. To round out the day of fun, I get to work on my self evaluation that is due on Monday that I haven't had time to do all week.
