I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's later now!

I'm off work until Monday! Hooray!

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Mum called, asked if I'd received my care package, and I said I hadn't because I'd not been in to work because I'd taken a mental health day. And then I had to admit that it was because of dad. So, that happened less painfully and whiny and begging and shameful than I thought it'd go. Mum says she'll talk to the Grinch (her words, she keeps saying that after she dies he can happily sit on his pile of gold counting out the coins just to say that he has it, and never do anything with it) and get me some additional help.

So now I just need to figure out rides to and from work on Tuesday with my car in the garage. The garage will probably give me a ride to the train station, and I can probably get bossman to pick me up and drop me off from work, and get neighbor lady to pick me up for home. It's just too damned cold to spend walking, especially homeward when the walk is thirty minutes when I'm not dodging iced over puddles.

Matt, I'm still charmed how those two conned you.

At least they flop down and let me pet their bellies now, so they're beginning to earn their upkeep.

Belliytrust is nice.

One of my many meetings today was with the new inhouse CSC head. The one who had fought so hard for us is retiring, the fight was burnt out of him. The new guy seems well aware he's in for a fight, is a Hubble alumni, and said he was proud to represent and protect a group of people who had pushed back as hard as we had at the meeting with corporate. He's looking for a challenge. So there's that.

I'd still like to switch contracts.

Nunya lets me touch her tummy for a second, which I appreciate. She actually stretches and turns her body to give me access, but it's only briefly. She'd let me take more, but I make sure to never abuse her trust, once I feel her starting to curl back in on herself.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

There's a measles outbreak at a daycare center in the suburbs of Chicago. All the cases are babies who are too young to get the vaccine. [link]

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

That's awful, Hil!

Finn loves to have his belly rubbed, which is lovely, as his fur feels like an angora bunny.

Dag, now you people have me looking on Petfinder again.
