Puppies! I have no idea how you pick out a puppy. Walter was picked out for me - I did get the best one, though. Ellen and Jesse are totally following each other, right? Reblogging and whatnot.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh Kat, how could you possibly choose?!
I know, just close your eyes, grab one, and run.
I will definitely be stealing many of Ellen's posts, I'm sure!
Good news, sj!!
In re: dogs, there was a note up in neighborhood recently addressed to "the owner of the sick dog." It was phrased extremely sympathetically, but still boiled down to "get your dog's shit off the sidewalk."
Puppy pile! Do you have to pick now or do you wait until they are older? And how old before you take home? 12 weeks? Will K explode before then?
ltc!!!
Zen, your friend should start leaving military school brochures laying around. Or... maybe see if a neighbor (is this farmland?) could employ her with some chores? Does she have to earn her allowance?
Puppies!
Speaking of public notices, at the grocery store there was a call to put a stop to the building if a mosque near one our "historic" areas, how it would affect traffic, etc..
The road it was proposed to be built on? Church street.
I'm sorry, your logic right off the bat is faulty. There's already a church there. Is it's Sunday traffic causing major issues? Will the addition of a second church affect traffic in some horrific fashion? Likely not. Do, please tell us the real reasons that you object to this place of worship.
sarameg, we have days and days and days to decide.
I've been party to "picking" 3 pets in my life. Devi was the adult choice. But the other umpteen have landed one way or the other. I don't know nothing about waiting on a litter!
I picked one pet deliberately (my first actual pet that was my own I dug out of a pile of plywood, and decided I had to keep her after all that effort, and named her Ply) and it was a choice between a scratcher and a hisser for Ply's buddy, so I chose the hisser. She lets me rub her belly now and demands to sleep under the blankets once in a while. Her name is nunya business, because I couldn't think of anything else.
We picked Jadzia because she was the one that came running up to us when we went out to look at the kittens. All my other pets have chosen me, one way or another.
