Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I'm so mad at myself -- I was late for work because I waited for the bus instead of walking. My feet were cold, but would they have been colder walking through snow vs. standing on it? Probably not! Now I have to shake it all off and get ready for two fairly significant meetings in a row.
Much ~ma for Sox.
I still want to eat the puppies!
So odd -- someone just sent me a meeting request and suggested we talk over Skype. I'm 90% sure she's in the US, so why don't we just talk on the phone??
Maybe she wants video, Jesse?
I'm in exciting Omaha for two days. Got in yesterday, couldn't get to sleep early because of the time change and because the stupid hotel doors are super loud when people go in and out. The downtown seems cute, but there was supposed to be 3-4" of snow today (it seems to have stopped now so I don't know if that was reached) and school was canceled (I just checked though and supposedly the people I'm meeting will be there...). I was surprised at that--3" of snow cancels school?? In Nebraska? I expected more heartiness from them! Maybe just because it was happening all morning through the commute?
Mmm, steaks. Sorry, that and Mutual of Omaha are my Omaha associations.
My head is still tender from hitting the sun visor yesterday (I am kind of outraged that the injury (mild as it actually is) seems so disproportionate to the event. It's not like I smacked my head into a lead pipe). It really only hurts when I poke at it, but I have this compulsion to keep poking at it to see if it still hurts.
Maybe she wants video, Jesse?
Oh god, I didn't even think of that. Yikes.
This was a slightly startling juxtaposition:
... fiberglass goats?
I hate it when that happens.
DC did a couple of these - one year it was pandas, another it was donkeys and elephants. Some of them are still around - once they were all painted, they were auctioned off for some cause; they're in yards around town, many of them worse for the wear.
Juliebird, could you take one of the fiberglass goats and use it to mould pieces of the chicken wire around? then use a different wire to hold the pieces together. It would probably be a bit sturdier than trying to do it freehand.
And, for your amusement, last summer a local nursery had a "compost appreciation day".
I just changed a "whom" to "who" in a Google doc. I'm pretty sure no one will notice, but I am giddy with righteous grammar correction.
