this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

My boss just got in.

Yeah, I haven't heard from my boss today yet, even though I emailed her several hours ago. I suspect she may be working from home today.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They're still having a parade for the Patriots tomorrow in Boston, which seems a little irresponsible to me given the weather.

We should be fine tomorrow. It's really light and fluffy snow, so easily cleared. I mean, except for the fact that there's nowhere to put it, but that will be true until April.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am on the phone with my boss for my annual evaluation. Apparently I am not "proactive" enough, even though all through the form she's said how proactive I am.

What. Ever. hashtag teenager

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Zen, then proactively point out to her how she says all throughout the form how proactive you are. And make sure you say you're being proactive by pointing it out.

But the places that people are coming from might not be fine. I don't expect the roads around here to be good for at least a few more days.

Apparently I am not "proactive" enough,

That rated a "Needs Improvement" on my annual eval. I'm applying for another job today.

I would point out that since she said on the form you ARE proactive, perhaps she could suggest areas where you aren't being proactive.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I finally got around to uploading xmas photos to Flickr. This one is of me, my mom and my oldest son Max.

I'm the one with the antennae.

tommyrot, thanks for posting that. Now I have finally connected you with your facebook account in my mind. I friended a lot of people recently who I knew were buffistas without necessarily knowing who specifically they were.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

shrift, my preferred aftercare of choice (once the wrapping is off and you've rinsed the skin with water) is vitamin E cream (nothing added, no fragrances). It's been the single best thing I have done for healing and my skin. I used it throughout the whole process of my left-arm sleeve.
