Even when I hated the job, I didn't like giving notice either. It's never a pleasant experience. Congratulations on getting it out into the world, Jessica! It's truly real now.
Ugh, Dana. That sucks. But yay for working in inside clothes?
msbelle, once in a while is not the same as every day. Moderation, not deprivation. Don't beat yourself up. Mortgage is paid. Food is on the table. Lights are on. You and mac are not running around in rags. Sounds like you're being an adult to me.
I think we need to have a new thread devoted to flossing. (My dentist is very nice also, and my hygienist is a darling. I just hate all the feels of dental action.)
I like the dentist the person, but not the dentist the process. I had my wisdom teeth out in November and they covered me with a delightful fuzzy blanket. I think that did almost as much for my nerves as the Halcion and nitrous did. I wonder if I could ask for the blanket when I get a cleaning.
Aaaaaaaaand, Other!Boss has now been told. Much more satisfying conversation, because THIS is the person I am most specifically getting away from.
YAY!
I am SO EXCITED to go to the dentist this spring, you guys. My gums don't bleed at all when I floss now, so I have high hopes.
I just noticed that it's already the 29th. If this was February it'd be March.
I have to call my new dentist and schedule the ICON treatment (non drilling way to treat cavitities) and some sort of laser perio treatment for my gum issues.
Previous dentist (who I saw once and totally MISSED the cavity that led to my tooth breaking 2 days after my cleaning) told me "your gums are fine!" which was a huge sign that this dentist is Not Good. No dentist has ever said that. Unfortunately none of these treatments are covered with insurance so it will be more expensive but no drilling. I can get on board with that.
I wonder if I could ask for the blanket when I get a cleaning.
That's a great idea. I don't particularly have dental anxiety but I love hearing about dentists that try to accommodate their patients who do.
Yay, Jess!
You just blew my mind, tommyrot.
Maybe I'll spend the week in-between jobs catching up on dentist/dr appointments. That would be very mature of me. #dontwanna
I have to floss diligently now because I've developed a gap between molars and bits of food get uncomfortably lodged there. I actually think I need to buy a bulk amount of floss so I can have it with me everywhere at all times.
