(A) Congratulations! Maybe a little premature, but if it's your decision to make I'm gonna congratulate you.
(B) You will be fine. You can totally do everything you have said you can do.
(C) That is a huge change and it totally makes sense to be terrified.
I hope saying it gets it out of your head, at least some.
Also - woohoo lazy vacation times for shrift!
Also, Jess, a warning--whenever I start a new job i feel fine for a little while--I'm new, no one expects me to know things! But then there's a point a bit in where I feel like I ought to know things and STILL DONT and it makes me crazy and feel like I'm an awful employee. Hint: If you feel this way you probably aren't.
"You're right, Jess, you really are a fakir, your incompetence will be revealed!"
That's your insecurities talking. See how idiotic it looks?

Yeah, that! It's a confidence/competence thing, I think -- at first you know you don't know anything, eventually figure out what you don't know, but then it takes time to learn it.
GOOD LUCK! You are smart and capable!
You will be great, Jess. I've met you, I know.
Okay, email sent. Now to have a quick panic attack at my desk and then go for a walk while I wait for paperwork/next steps.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I really, really, really hate and fear change. My current job is like an old pair of shoes where the soles are almost worn through so they're really uncomfortable almost all of time, but I've had them forever and wearing them until they literally fall apart is so much easier than breaking in a new pair. All hail the mighty inertia.

Wrod. It's my biggest bugaboo.
Got it! It's the Dunning-Kruger Effect -- I was thinking of the dip in this graph.
