Interesting, Kat.
That does not sound fun, Dana.

-t, you're kind. It's more pedestrian and annoying and stupid. I wish I could adopt that zen only eat as much as you need to survive perspective. And yet, NSM.
I need to stop eating stuff with refined sugar
You know, I'm really proud of how I've increased my veggie intake over the past year, but I really need to cut the sugar out. (I say that as someone who just last night bought gluten-free animal crackers. But there's an actual point to buying those: when I bought GF chocolate-chip cookies or GF Joe-Joe's [Trader Joe's, I love you and hate you], I would eat the whole box at the speed of light. But I can eat just a couple of animal crackers when I have a sweet tooth, because they just aren't as HOLY CRAP YUM as the cookies I used to buy. The best I can say is that I'm trying to phase out refined sugar.)
aurelia glad your kitty is doing better.
I use different user names for most boards. I was trying to keep things really sepreate but the lines have blurred on some of them (for awhile I had 2 livejournals, but the original one got deleted).
Steph, I don't know that I can really cut them out completely (I doubt it!) but I think I can stop picking them when I really want something else. I think what I really need to do is cut mindlessly eating. Tomorrow I will have delicious fish tacos and chips and salsa, but I know I am choosing that. I need to choose instead of being mindless.
For me bread, crackers and cheese are the big problem. Also, to sayI have a time restricted eating sounds fancy, but let's be clear, I rarely am up late so to stop eating at 6 when I go to sleep 9 is not really that hard.
I need to choose instead of being mindless.I think if we could all do this, we'd probably all be in much better shape. For me, the stumbling block is always prep time/energy (especially energy).

Yeah, they are an easy (and, for me, tempting) fallback for sure.
I'm not being kind, Kat, diets that are really restrictive in various ways are appealing to me (for limited times. The only way I can diet at all is to know that I am going to stop dieting eventually. Lifestyle changes that last forever are not for me even for obvious and immediate health benefits) so that's one I'll want to consider next time I'm wanting a new diet to follow. Although 7-3 would mean eating only when I am at work during the week, which would be weird but would probably also have side benefits.
I have heard back from my doctor. My blood calcium came back as normal this time, so I don't have to worry about additional testing and possible surgery. Which is nice.
What with not usually getting off work till 6 and the commute getting me home til 7, dinner for me generally falls in the 8-9 range.
