"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm so sorry that so many people are having such a horrible day. {{{buffistas}}}

I do not have cupcakes, but this is the time of year that my market has paczki. So, I had an apple cinnamon one. I don't know if they're as good as ones from a specialty bakery, but the one I had was delicious.

Our wings are not tired.

Lots of hugs for all the Buffistas having awful bad days. And sympathetic nods for the non-huggers.

Today I finally caught up with Natter. All I really have to add is that Allyson has the most lovely hair.

This is way into theoretical land, but it has bearing on my future housing contemplations. Would a single cat be happy in a less-than-700 square foot apartment if it never went outside? I like having cats around, but the place I was looking at today only allows single pets, and I'd hate to have a bored and lonely kitty in a one-bedroom apartment all day while I was at work.

Our wings are not tired.

My cats were always outside more than they were inside, but pretty lazy and didn't seem to need much entertainment. I think a good window view would suffice while you were away.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I have a friend in an efficiency with a cat; she doesn't seem to have any qualms or concerns with hers.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I had two cats in a 500 sq ft apt, only one of them went outside and then only one brief trip a day, and they seemed ok with it.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I was asked today if one of coworkers was so dedicated to her job because her husband was dead lo this past decade and basically she didn't have a life anymore. I was so shocked I was speechless. 1) way to question the motives of ones integrity and passion 2) assuming she didn't have a life now that she no longer had a spouse and 3) this is the guy who works 10-12 hour days and sees his wife once a week and hangs out in his office after hours rather than go home to his onsite apartment.

I had three cats, one who hated the others in a750 sq ft apartment. (Of course, I said I then bought a house because the third cat pushed it over the edge, but not really.)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

My board name is my real name, and I'm not on Facebook. (Most of my board/forum names are variations of my real first name. Only place where that wasn't the case was TWoP.)

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

I had a cat in 400 sq ft. When I moved to larger places, she mostly still prefers to live in a basket in my closet.
