I'm getting the pig!

Sarameg- excellent thoughtful neighbors! So sweet and kind.

Right, food stuffs... fairly picky as a child and as an adult. I definitely don't do spicy, if I can help it. Never liked onions and DH is mildly allergic to them so that makes shared meals simpler.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He's bought the three of us ( and his best friend ) matching fancy hooded fleeces for when we sit out in the deck or porch drinking wine n cool weather.

That's so great!

A random stranger at work stopped to tell me I have pretty hair. I suspect a lurker, right?

SO GREAT!

8 years he has lived with me, you think he would learn.

Less great....

I feel like I have to watch SotU, but don't actually feel like it. Eh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Apparently, my parents had to deal with the usual joy of inheritance bullshit at the mass.

Oh holy scheisse.

sarameg, I'm jellis of your lovely 'hood.

State of the Motherf*cking Union address, coming up! I have a drink and a snack and my outrage safety goggles, I'm set.

B's 50th is the second week in Feb. If I'm here for the party, I'm pretty sure I won't make it to work the next day. Hell, I might not make it home, and it's only 2 doors down.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

'Hood hoodies! I love your neighbors, sarameg.

ETA: I am msbelle tonight. Nice.

Also - dinner was a bar of orange hibiscus chocolate and I think I'm going to have a mug of raspberry flavored hot cocoa for dessert. SO ADULT

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

In sort of good news, bossman now understands and respects the other departments claim on the mutual worksphace we share, although I'm still trying to remind him that we still need a table for ourselves to do our propagation and potting up, so please to not claim it in the name of baby plants.

Greenhouse work together has been good, as it allowed us to talk with our hands busy. He wasn't occupied by emails or text conversations like when we're in the office together, where no talking gets done. So I got to pick his brain and seed tons of thoughts and feel him out on many and varied topics and air my own misgivings that he laid to rest.

Sounds good, Juliebird. Maybe all offices should have a greenhouse. I want one. I don't know what to do with it, but I want one.

Sewer work commences tomorrow by a contractor for the city. But there is a city sewer truck out there now (this is downstream of me.)

Doesn't bode well.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I found a perfectly fitting gored Talbot's teeny polka-dotted skirt at a consignment shop for $12 in immaculate condition. It's business casual for the interview, so I just need to pop out to Old Navy tomorrow and get a fitted cardigan or such for 50% off and I'm set for the interview tomorrow. Thank god.
