4.Fucking. Weeks.
Having to do with the basement flooding, and everyone's fave excuse, money.
Took a couple of showers at my friend's house, and at folks', but my last "shower" was a couple of weeks ago at the pool, and it was a rinse and shampoo over the swimsuit, because i forgot clean clothes, and my conditioner fell out in the car.
So it's been sponge baths using Crock-pot warmed water since then. NOT FULFILLING.
FWIW, best goddamned shower of my life so far.
Ugh Theo, that's a hurt.
And dang, kids just arrived home and I still had a bit of work to do. Oh well, will just work anyway.
Strix, good heavens, 4 WEEKS without hot water? You might as well have gone camping!
(I hate camping.)
Theo, ouch. But you're right, a new/used car would have cost much more, and Subarus are tough little things worth repairing.
the mother load of baggalini bags
Ahh, Baggalinis. I have about five of 'em. I carried one little crossbody purse all through Ireland and it carried
everything
I needed for all-day outings. Amazing. Like a little Tardis. Should've bought it in blue.
Oh Strix, yay for a good hot shower!
Strix, insent to your profile address.
Saw my doc as a follow-up on my trigeminal nueralgia. Going to try a maintenance dose for the next couple of months and then in October look at tapering down to see if it I can go off the meds. Yay?
Now if only I could shake today's headache. Plus it is HOT outside. And I'm feeling whiney.
Damn, Strix, I would've been like "I'll be living with someone else til that's fixed..."
OMG, Strix, that might kill me. Although the crock pot was a brilliant idea.
96 degrees here and mid/high 90s for the next few weeks. Does not make life any more pleasant to lead.
But there's a rainstorm at the far end of the lake at the end of the valley.
Timelies all!
Yay for hot showers, Strix!
