Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I really like this one of the ones that Ginger put up.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

That is a beautiful picture of her. But I wonder how the shading will translate in smaller columns in a newspaper?

Thrive to spite them

I like both pictures I think they convey different things. The first one is kind of secretive smile, the kind I imagine she would make after posting a link and seeing who would be the first to be grossed out. The second is more of a joyful - "I gotcha!" and laughing with us about it.

It's almost like the two pictures tell a story.

I do like the one Sail linked too but it seems a little, pensive.

Whatcha sellin?

Old gaming figs from Hubby's collection. The one that's showing the most interest is a Blood Bowl Dwarf Doomroller. I figured Blood Bowl would pique some interest.

The figs have all sold; the old rulebooks, not so much. But the rules change so much, I wasn't surprised, they're not really inherently collectible unless someone wants the art. If they don't sell, they go in the recycling. As much as it makes me cringe.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I like the smiling picture, even if it did make me weepy again. It's such a beautiful shot of her.

I have to brag on my two-year-old for a minute: We went out for dim sum this morning, and she tried a whole bunch of new things quite happily, and liked most of them, and was perfectly content to chew on curried chicken dumplings while we waited (and waited) for the cart with the sweet buns to come around. I was really proud of her. I was such a picky eater as a kid -- like, I wouldn't eat spaghetti with sauce for years because I once found a mushroom in my pasta -- and we're really trying to instill in Rose a more relaxed and curious attitude towards new food, so it was nice to feel like that's working. A small victory, but I'll take it.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Had we linked her self-portrait tumblr earlier? [link]

I think Kat's are better for the obituary, because they are against a neutral background, but I liked seeing this one on that tumblr, where she looks happy: [link]

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I love the smiling one, too, but I have a deep affection for the one of her with her red lipstick, blowing a kiss. It's ... saucy and her and irreverent. If I were choosing, I would choose that one. It's just so her.

Our wings are not tired.

God she's so beautiful.

What is even happening?

I'm with Aims on the saucy kiss blowing shot.

If not, I like the smiling one Kat suggested.

How is our gorgeous woman not here? I disallow this.
