All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

coffee alarm clock

Nice. But if situated like in those photos, mine would always have cat hair in it.

So, my plantar fasciitis is indeed plantar fasciitis and not heel spurs.

Ouch. It takes time to make that pain go away, but at least it's doable.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Um, how is this student getting measurements of -1 mm?

Only two posts after I graded a section's worth of papers....either I broke the conversation like whoa, or y'all are watching the sportsball.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

My assistant moved here from Chicago when we closed that office. The apartment she got is not ready, so she's staying with me for the week. It works out well, as Jason flew off to Iceland this morning. We are slounging around and watching football. Well, she's watching--I'm glancing at the screen occasionally while noodling around on the interwebs.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

you need a coffee alarm clock. Possibly, we all do.

Naturally Betsy beat me to mentioning the Teasmade!

We took the family to see Paddington today, so I'm in a very British frame of mind. It's the most British movie EVER. Paddington wins in the end by keeping calm and carrying on, all while being unfailingly polite.

I rearranged my office to make room for bookcases. Now I'm loading the new bookcases with...old...books. Not *old* old, but not new to me. My books.

What the hell?! Is English my second language?

I'ma start over.

I rearranged my office.

How can one make coffee before you've had coffee? It's not even possible.

It took a lot of work, but I have trained myself to measure out, grind, and make coffee while still half asleep. I use an Aeropress, so no automatic timer coffee for me

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

There has been more than one morning where I have wondered why the kettle is not boiling only to realize I had never turned the burner on, and then the one time I managed to pour the boiling water over my hand instead of on the tea leaves.
