I keep wanting to get into podcasts but for the past year or so I've become very attached to driving alone in silence, with nothing but my thoughts. I think my life needs more quiet.

JZ, I like The Bugle, Good Job Brain, A Way With Words, Here's the Thing With Alec Baldwin, Lexicon Valley, Coffee Break French. Also, check with your library. I'll bet they have downloadable audiobooks (free, natch), and may have foreign language or other classes, music, and more.
I get that, Burrell. Sometimes I do that myself. Mostly I drive such short distances that it does not matter.
I can't listen to talking while driving, I get distracted. My classic rock station is perfect, I know the songs, they provide a nice time-keeping for the drive so I don't zone out, the ads and the DJs provide enough variation that my brain is engaged. Plus I feel a part of the world.
Maybe we could break ita's Flickr stream into chunks so nobody has to go through the entire 1400? Not that its an unpleasant task, because there are so many awesome pictures. But just to save time. I'm up for taking a chunk if it will help.
It's going pretty quickly. I'm not sure her family needs to go through them now. It's too heartbreaking.
