What do y'all think of this situation:
There is a building that is a shared space between two departments. New guy wants ALL TEH SPACE! Other department peeps need a certain allocation of space for various educational and income-earning programs. New guy went to the finance lady and asked how much those programs brought in, to see if it was worth other department keeping that program, so that he could then be justified in getting those programs discontinued so he could have ALL TEH SPACE for our department, so that he could arguably decrease our expenses utilizing that extra space (it's a greenhouse).
Underhanded? Sneaky? Disrespectful in the assumption that his needs/desires are greater than a whole other departments educational curriculum.
Or justified and understandable and there really wasn't any other way he could go about satisfying his curiosity for the facts that he knew he was ignorant of?
