Allyson, you can get prepaid phones from some place like Best Buy or Target, or a Verizon or suchlike. I think I've seen them at drug stores and 7-11s, also.

Just tell me where to send the money.

I have been very surly with people at work. I wasn't this cranky after my parents or last uncle died. It's possible you all are more real to me than my family is. I hope that's not a problem for anyone.

I got my sister a Trakfone (sp?) pre-pay at Target a while back. There should be plenty of options, all at around the same cheap price point.

I would offer to get them ordered through Best Buy and have it taken care of, but the company will only let the person buying the phones pick up them in store.

It's so stupid because I could get you set up with what you needed and save everyone a little money.

If a Best Buy is easy for anyone to get to in LA I can ask my manager about contacting the stores there and see if they can bend the rules. My manager did say if there was anything he could do I could just ask.

Yeah, pretty much. It's been a while, but I don't think we had a workable archiving script for that board, and when they shut down we were SOL.

I talked to Kristen about it and we're going to take the donations so we can make purchases directly for them, like the phones, lodging, prepaid Visa cards, pay for the obituary, contribute to costs associated with the cremation, give them cash to offset the exchange rate, pay for meals, etc. If anything is leftover it will be given to her parents to do with what they wish.
