JZ,
I listened to the ep of Snap Judgment you discussed above. Wild.
Further, I remember the stories about the songwriter discussed in that story. He was not a nice man at all. And his son is in bad shape too.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

meara, I know that feel. I need to be applying for temp gigs here in IN until I get something more permanent. And I really don't wanna.
I say go ahead and apply, meara.
le n, I didn't know about his son, but I'd definitely heard bad stuff about him even before that Snap Judgment.
I feel like I can never, ever complain about any of my past breakups again, because that is just a case of the universe conspiring at such an epic level to make sure the poor other guy never got a chance to just forget it and get over it. All of pop culture just kept salting that wound for decades.
I kind of love that Washington is so tapped into the Bay Area storytelling community, and that half the stories are wild tales from places I couldn't imagine and the other half have me saying, "Hey, I know that BART station, I've waited on that corner for that bus, I met a crazy person at that Walgreens too!" It makes me swell with atavistic and totally demented civic pride.
JZ,
his son killed his girlfriend. He's in prison for life I think.
I was on my way to walk halfway home (I take the subway the other way), but saw lightning ahead, so turned around to take the bus. This was an excellent call, as if it had taken me 10 more minutes to get home, I would have gotten caught in the current TORRENTIAL thunderstorm!
It really went right overhead -- lightning had to be hitting right in Somerville, judging from the gapless thunder!
JZ what/who are you talking to.
My neck pain is coming back on and I'm about to break the procedure lady rule and call 2x in 24hr. I'm not as afraid of her wroth as I am of sleeping upright multiple nights.
Colin's back has gone out, so we had a good long chat, He's very different about his stuff, but good to talk to nonetheless.
If I repeatedly stab myself in the neck to make the pain go away "the voices insisted...." tell my parents I'm sorry for extending their funeral a weekend run in any way.
It really went right overhead -- lightning had to be hitting right in Somerville, judging from the gapless thunder!
BANANAS. And apparently there was a tornado warning??
I can believe it!
For those Buffistas playing from outside Somerville, the sun is now shining in my backyard.
