I haven't posted in years, but I do lurk, and I just need to say how shocked and saddened I feel about this news. She was such a presence on this board. Heck, she *was* the board.
I am so deeply sad for ita's family, and for all of you, who have been such wonderful and supportive friends to her for so many years.
Fly free, fierce spirit.
My new theory is that the board itself really loves poetry.
Tessera. I have no contact information for her at all. And none for Floyd Elliot.
I tried to shut down my computer and ignore my phone but I can't. I want to be here with you all.
On tumblr I reposted the Dr. Who drawing she made for me as my Secret Santa a year ago.
All the double-posts...I think the board is in mourning along with all of us. The internet knows there's a hole in the world.
I have to get offline. Open plan offices are terrible places to be crying at work. My heart is going out to all of us today.
Thanks, Besty. I agree. I did.
I can't think of poetry yet, other than one poem-in-math, one that ita loved dearly and expressed her love to it on several posts, the Euler equation.
That's all the letters, not even words yet, that I manage to lean on right now.
The LAistas are the main ones who would get this, but I have told Graham and Joyce.
Oh, good, Lee.
Suzi, what's your Tumblr address?
I'm at work. It's so hard to hide grief from students, but that's what needs to happen. I'm in a plan period right now. Im not getting much planning done, but I'm so touched by everyone who has returned to grieve as a community.
