When my mom died, I had her gmail forwarded to my account. I unsubscribed her from junk e-mail and responded to any e-mails from folks I wasn't otherwise able to notify. And then I forgot about it.
It has been over 5 years and today I got an e-mail from one of her friends from Alameda. She is someone I tried to contact but didn't have any contact information. I was totally thrown at first because I didn't remember the forward and was clueless how she found me. I sent her a response with news of mom's passing along with basic family update info.
Honestly I'm still feeling totally thrown.
Steph, holy crap, THREE librarians couldn't figure that out? I swear I would have butted in with "Are you looking for The Diary of Anne Frank?" right at the start. Minor rudeness, to avert larger crisis.
My boss, who is half a world away in India, is on the verge of having a control meltdown. It hasn't happened yet, but I can feel the disturbance building in the Force.
Got through my training, and either the Claritin wore off or this isn't allergies. Blergh.
God damn it, I just volunteered myself to join a conference call. Why did I do that? I guess because repeatedly saying the same thing via email wasn't working?

Yeah. That was weird.

For 3 days last week I thought my allergies were just out of hand, because I was a sneezing fool, but didn't otherwise feel bad/tired/rundown or have any other symptoms of a cold. Until yesterday morning. And then I felt like hammered crap. All I can say is that at least it held off until all of the holiday festivities were over, AND at least it's a cold and not the flu. #somesilverliningthisis
I was talking to a friend yesterday about how we wished there were a way to not come back to work today OTHER than getting sick. We agreed that being at work is better than being sick....
Ok boredom has set in. Since I got sucked down a YouTube hole on this last night: Top network tv kisses?

The coworkers who are at the office and coughing all over the place maybe should try working from home before I spray them down with hand santizer.
Timelies all!
It's Monday. Work was fine, but I got home and one of the cats had horked a hairball on my computer chair. This is not the first time this chair has been targeted. Bleah.
Work things I can't say out loud: AHAHAHAHA yes PM of mine, I know you are Super Busy. But if this release ships with empty sections of documentation, it won't be
MY
fault. I've been nagging you for info since November.
