I am on the train home, after three nights in three states and many good times with many different friends! As usual, my only regret is not taking pictures.
Spike: Lots of fuss over one girl. Other things to do around here--important things. Angel: You know that whoosh thing you do when you're suddenly not there anymore? I love that.

Spent the night, the we woke up and had bloody marys, waffles, candied bacon, and cinnamon rolls provided by moi.
I need to spend more nights with Vortex.
We went to the NYE celebrations in downtown Delray Beach with family. It had been raining on and off all day so we didn't go until 11pm. It worked out that there was parking 2 blocks from the tennis stadium where they do the dance party and fireworks thing. A good time was had by all.
Today is rainy on and off again so I have been alternating working on the computer, relaxing, and watching bowl games. My book is also calling my name....

Our holiday guest left right after dinner last night and we then watched Brooklyn 99 episodes and went to sleep at 11. Not PARTICULARLY festive, but pleasant nonetheless.

I almost made beet pesto this past week. Got all the way to the blender part. But my parents oldest child wanted to help, and he ended up passing out for no discernible reason. I could have finished it, but then figured someone or other would get mad at me and so I didn't. I'll try again later, with no drunken boys to distract.

Gah, I succumbed to the lure of not getting dressed for too long and now it's too close to sunset (and I am too tired) to really go do anything. Tactical failure for the day. Oh well, at least I have snacks made for, I don't even know, some time into the future, and a couple of breakfasts, so not a total waste.
