I got a mani and pedi. new place to me and I was very happy, so hopefully this will be my new place. Also grocery shopping. was surprised that Aldi was closed, so Kroger got all my business. Now I have to wait for mac to decide if I grill dinner or we go eat out. Either way I am taking a day off the healthy eating cleanse I have been doing. I am having my first beer in 9 weeks. It's delish.

No fireworks for us, I may go out and watch from the front yard later, we can see most of the city ones. Mac doesn't like the noise so we never go close. I suspect the dog will be a mess.

I have a confetti cake mix that I should have already made. Maybe tomorrow.

I haven't eaten anything except a pot of coffee and a huge jug of Gatorade. Neither really counts as eating, and I've hit that point past hunger. Maybe if I do dishes I'll motivate to make something. But I'm really not hungry.

I'm glad I decided not to stay for the fireworks. I can see the highest ones from my patio if I want to, but I probably won't bother. Leo doesn't like loud noises and hides, but the other two cats don't seem to care. I'll be in bed early tonight, I suspect. My head still hurts.

It looks like I have to find fireworks on television or something. Big rain blob is expected just when the city is scheduled to have the event. I'll check their website for alternate plan.

I bought real bones at the grocery store for the dog to help calm her.

We dropped Franny off at her friend's house for family fun/local fair. Isaac got a last minute invite to spend the night too, but when it became clear his sister wanted to just see her friend, he said that's okay, he'll hang with us. So far that has meant a water balloon fight which pretty much made his day. Now for barbeque, and then maybe we go see fireworks up close and maybe we don't. Not a bad way to spend the holiday, but not at all like the block parties we used to have when I was a girl.

mac doesn't wanna go out, so I'm cleaning the grill and gonna start on that.

I'll be marathoning Breaking Bad for the rest of the weekend. I just watched the pilot and it seems the most American on shows I could watch. crappy healthcare, drug culture, the wild west.
