So I did my one mile test run (between that and warming up and cooling down and taking the dog for what turned into a 2+ mile walk I've put in a good 5 miles today, which feels pretty good) and my time is higher than the highest reference time on the chart to tell me my "speed zones". Sigh.
But the track is kind of awesome. So springy! So little opportunity to trip over something or have a small child run into you! Definitely a good find.
I'm trying the "cool impossible" program and the first step is to use your "one mile test time" to look up the pace you should be aiming for in the seven "speed zones" that are used in the training program. Only my test time is 13:47 (which is faster than I was last year!) and the highest time on the chart is 10:00.
I knew I was slow, but literally off the chart is a bit of a downer. But I surely if I just double the paces listed for half my time, that'll be close enough. Presumably I will get faster eventually...
I'm watching
Go
-- a Christmas movie! -- and I forgot about Timothy Olyphant!
It's quite a while since I've seen that, but that was probably where he first caught my eye.
Yeah, I mean, he must have caught my eye at the time.
Karaoke happening here. I'll never sing, but I don't know any of these anyway.
I have seriously got to buckle down on learning Blank Space, because I've only got like 3/4 of it down, and that is not good enough for karaoke!
Teppy, again, we are one. I mean, I don't really want a baby or law school(except, fake law school so I can be Joyce Davenport) so what do I care if my crazy friends do either one?
I mean, if things had gone differently, I might have done that stuff, but I'm not torn up that I didn't, so why does it bug me sometimes?(and I hate that it makes me feel better to think I've got a quicker brain than Law School Friend, because it's not like I installed it personally.)
Hec, I would totally watch Snoop on Project Runway for the same reason that I loved it when David Simon wrote a Vows.
I should have known that the theater full of kids on Thursday would not end well - currently on Day 2 of enjoying a holiday sore throat and cough. Ah well, at least I got through Christmas in good health (and hopefully non-contagious).
