You guys, I am pretty excited about the prospect of a crappy rainy day tomorrow. I would love the excuse to not leave the house all day!
"I am never bringing the dog again because it is so distracting!". Live and learn
That's something, at least.
I can't believe it's just 11. I have gotten a bunch of stuff done and am ready for lunch! Ah well.
I want to be productive today. Not sure how to make that happen (I have a few work things to do but mostly want non-work things toget done).
Sophia, they have a walking clinic too--you could work your way up. ;)
I also need to figure out how I'm staying awake later tonight. I have a 5k that starts at midnight! Which is all well and good but if I'm falling asleep on my couch at 10pm, not going to go well.
I want someone to bring a puppy to my work! But I could see it being distracting for sure.
I can't believe it's already past 11. I've gotten nothing done.
I have a lot of shit to do, and I loafed around reading until 10:30 because I had no work to do (since the AMA offices close early today and are closed tomorrow, and I leave for vacation Saturday, I assumed they wouldn't send me anything). And then they sent me something. And then when I'm done I need to clean the house and do laundry. How is that "vacation"?
But tomorrow is the Best Damn 4th of July parade, which the family flea is joining us for, and then vacation! And it seems Hurricane Arthur will be long gone by the time we hit North Carolina.
Shortly after I posted that, I stopped being productive. But maybe more later??
My brother's dog (maybe 40 pounds, energetic and young) has met my parents' dog (6 pounds, 7 years old). It was not love at first sight. It was more "You are giant and keep accidentally stepping on me, so I'm going to hide by the people sitting on the couch."
It was more "You are giant and keep accidentally stepping on me, so I'm going to hide by the people sitting on the couch."
That sounds quite reasonable to me.
I need to get over to campus today and get the last of my rec letters off my desk. sigh. don't wanna, but it's the only day I have a sitter this week.
I have achieved AC #1. ::does dance of cool air:: AC:Electric Boogaloo can wait until I've cooled off from AC #1.
Paging Hil! I need a mathematician! If I have an action figure with 32 joints, each of which has 5 different positions, how many distinct positions can the figure be placed into?
I say 3840.
Uhg, they're futzing with the ac (cycling it maybe?) because we keep getting waves of the old-balloon mildewy smell… May have to leave early.
