I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, it's too foggy to see the sun set, so instead of wine and watching the sun go down (and , really, even if it wasn't foggy there's a house and things in the way) I'm having beer and pizza and watching TV.

At 9:30 this morning, I snapped at my supervisor twice (it was called for, but usually I'm milder.) That set the tone for the rest of my day. I had to shut my door because people were being too loud chatting in the hall, prepping for the division party which I could not attend because of this damned testing, snapped at one of my developers, exhibited too little patience with one of my sweetest testers. Barely managed to shove 2 bananas down my craw while typing one handed, had jabber completely refuse to work (but Sara, you have a new computer? WHICH I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO SET UP BECAUSE WHEN IM HERE I HAVE TOO MUCH TO DO AND IT DEPARTMENT KEEPS FLAKING WHEN IM GONE) and FUCK punctuation.

Eating dinner now.

This build may get installed next week, but I may alienate everyone around me by then. I'm fucking pissed. We can't keep doing this. I won't.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's dirt repellent!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It occurred to me that maybe someone in a later timezone would not want to be spoiled! For Master Chef Junior. Whitefont ahoy:

So maybe I'm a little too politically angry right now, but I'm ready to start a riot over the Master Chef Junior results.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Ugh, Hil. That thing is a fucking obscenity. I never fully understood rage-looting-and-smashing, but that thing brings me right to the brink.

2 weeks vacation has clearly done nothing for my rage issue. Here's hoping 2 more will help. Oh wait...

I really really want to have a come to Jesus meeting with our team leads. But I'm subordinate to them. But we're pretty egalitarian. But it's thin ice. But not really, since we can't afford to lose more people and it's been made pretty clear the last 4 days that my skill set isn't anywhere else.

I'm just so tired and can't even brane online Xmas shopping.

You have to remember that being a 5-time Olympic medalist means Hilary Knight has been playing hockey at an elite level at least 16 years. It's impossible for her to be a teenage girl less than 16 years old, thus the President's complete lack of interest.

Can't say I'm surprised. [link]

I like the framing of the story.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Ended up going to see Big Hero 6 with my friend and her son, then got to my meeting exactly when it was due to start. Since I was leading the meeting, I'm glad I wasn't late.

As I noted in Beep Me, today is a big fundraising day in Colorado. Across the state $26M has been raised across 1,676 organizations. Pretty amazing. ARP's slice from donations alone has been about $8,500 so far with 30 minutes left in the drive. Won't know how much we will get in matches and bonuses. That takes a few weeks. But considering we got $4,838 last year, donations, matches, and bonuses, I think we are doing great. I have hit refresh on our admin page about a million times today.
