One year when I was at Lotus we had a fancy Xmas party at the Museum of Science, so we could wander through the exhibits and so on, that was really supernice for the non-drinkers/non-partyers.
When I worked at MIT Sloan, we had an Xmas party at MoS one year, and twice at the Boston MFA. It was nice.
We haven't had a real Christmas party at my office in years, but as the President who retired last year was big into those "getting to know you" type party games I sure haven't minded their absence.

Timelies all!
No holiday parties at work for me.
Meanwhile I forgot to put earrings on today, which meant I was practically naked. Didn't realize it until I was on my way to work. Don't know where my brain was...
ita, you might want to get doctors notes for the drugs that are going to be detected.
I don't know how fast I can get the dilaudid one...at least methadone is off the table.
Well, rather than going to the holiday party at 5:30, I will be on a conference call.
Our holiday party is going to be here--the whole second floor! [link]
We're having a holiday party in a couple of weeks. Secret Santa. Angel Trees. Pretty much mandatory attendance and participation.
Due to a bad experience at a previous place, I'm opting out of Secret Santa.
I may call in sick that day.
As I mentioned before, our evening holiday party was cancelled, which suits me fine - my time. Now we are having some sort of casual lunch brought it during the work day, and I think the company is buying everyone $50 gift cards to awl-mart ( p-tooie). Guess I'll buy one round of groceries there and be done.
So today is Gotcha Day and with the grades and the lying and all I wasn't gonna do anything, but go get mac wings for dinner, but then he misses the bus, does not call for over an hour, doesn't answer his phone that whole time, throws attitude and is generally being a pita - so no. nothing. happy day.
