Oh no, ita! I hope you made it inside.
Sara, I just went and looked, and my good boots are Sperry. They are rain boots, but lined for a little warmth. At any rate, they are definitely waterproof, unlike my snowboots, which are warmer. Until they get wet over the laces.
Sara, mine are very utilitarian. Similar to these: [link]
Ooh, I want those.
Have I said here about how my boss can make everything sound shitty? Like, she's saying I do good work and she trusts me, but it doesn't sound that way by the time it reaches my ears? Randomly chatting just now, someone outside my department was saying that they've both been in early a couple of times, and my boss was like, "What are
you
doing here??" all snotty-sounding. I was like, "I'm sure she didn't mean it that way!" But I confess it's nice to have outside confirmation of how she sounds most of the time....
Yes, it is.I know I'll walk across broken glass for a boss who praises early and often.
In Uber news, I had a fare out to Newton, which I worried would strand me, but I picked up a $47fare to the airport in Brookline, so scored big. Currently sitting near Beacon Hill waiting...
Is this for real? [link] I want it to be real.
I hope you are safely inside, ita!
Good luck with the boots, sarameg.
I hope lack of ita!news means she's inside and sleeping.
I just had my second jelly donut of the day... don't judge me.
I'm worried about ita now.
I have been craving jelly donuts, Theo. Thank you for having one for me, I guess?
I got inside--Burrell's place. And then Ubered back to my car first thing, so now I've had 2 prep calls for my (hopefully) final interview--the job is mine to lose at this point.
9:30.
Sorry to make you guys worry past my rescue.
