Just saw the porkiest damn squirrel. It had a double chin, even. Bet it is one who steal from my birdfeeder.

The rain just hit. Big squall over the house, reminding me that yep, no insulation whatsoever around here. Luckily squalls tend to pass quickly.

Burrell, what's the long-term forecast? Pix warned me about motorists, and I brought an umbrella just in case, but I'm going to be sad if it's going to rain the entire time I'm there.

I think it's supposed to rain all day and into the night, but most of the time the rain has been moderate, not too heavy. That squall for instance is already past my house.

Yeah, the rain's been pretty light here. Too bad you couldn't have caught the weeks of "unseasonably" warm weather we've had lately. (I'm sick of it, but an Easterner would probably have appreciated it).

Note to self: painkillers work better if you take them than if you just have the unopened bottle nearby.

Oh, sweet mother goddess, why is it so hard for some people to think in a linear manner? I've walked this woman through the process three times, and she cannot remember a step I told her six seconds ago! There's a place in the world for all God's children, but why do some of them insist on that place being on a computer and on the phone with me?
