Well, my little black cat is now taking afternoon naps again with his Daddy in Valhalla. It's been harder and harder for him to move, and this morning he was on his side next to the water bowl, crying and not even trying to get up.

I confess to being relieved that I don't have anyone physically dependent on me anymore. Any plans I make, I only need to consider myself--with fair warning to my housemate.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry, Connie.

Totally understandable relief.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sorry, Connie.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Connie. But I get the relief aspect, too.

I'm sorry, Connie.

My ebay listing marathon continues (to counter balance the shopping done today and the impending gifts to come). Today I am listing mac's shoes. 10 pairs of outgrown shoes (we had a windfall of gifted shoes last year). 5 listed thus far. I really hope the Nike's bring in some cash. I'll be giving half to the one who gifted them to us, but I see what Nike shoes sometimes go for and if these bring good cash, they would cover his new pair.
