We didn't have potatoes left and we hadn't made stuffing this year. But I did take a bottle of prosecco and some rolls. But damn, ita, I forgot the lemon tart and a slice of lemon meringue pie.
Thanksgiving dinner was a little lackluster this year. We did an open house starting at 10:00 and most people came for breakfast. By the time we ate through an egg casserole (with sausage and green chiles), cinnamon rolls, pumpkin crumb cake, a cheese plate, hummus, guacamole there wasn't a huge need for a Dinner Dinner. But we did have a sort of grazing with two types of turkey, tempura green beans (which, FTR, with the mustard/chile/soy sauce were AMAZING), cranberries, rolls, mashed potatoes.
It's a good way to do thanksgiving for us.
Tonight I made alfredo with the leftover cream. NOM.
Tonight we are having Tito's. It's a tradition. Kinda.
sara, I like your cranberry sauce and Grace is having it, turkey, beets and cake tomorrow.
Burrell we should meet up soon. Or you should come over on Dec 13 for cookie exchange -- 1-3.
I stand (happily) corrected! Well, for you. I know how Grace is getting it.
Pix, I don't know what time my nurse is coming tomorrow, so I have to schedule last minute. Is that a problem?
(I'm not going to say no to noms....)
I would like some tempura green beans. Ooh, I can make a plan with myself to go to PF Chang's the next time I'm in the neighborhood.
The recipe I made was delicious: [link]
Hmm. I was pretty successful the last time I fried stuff!
