Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Maybe next time tape up the cats before putting them in the carrier?

I love that sweater.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hate how miserable the cats sound on the way to the vets. Has to be done, though. I take mine each separately, partly because catching one and getting her into a carrier puts the others into hide mode and they are better at hiding than I am at finding and catching them. Also with multiple cats in the car, they set each other off and the yowling never stops; with only one, she might settle down a little bit.

And then there's the dog - "Go for a ride" and we're done. He doesn't even look reproachfully at me when we get to the vet anymore, really.

OK, this morning I have determined that 4:30 AM is too damn early for me to wake up, but maybe 5 is okay. I've packed my bag to go to the gym at lunchtime, we'll see how that works out. And now I will go for a bike ride while it is still cool. High of only 91 today, but still.

Loki just settles down into a pathetic sulk and lets Pumpkin do all the crying in the car.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

SHIT. It's garbage day and I forgot! The truck just went by. Shit. Another week with a smelly full garbage bin. Damn this pounding head.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We take all 3 pets to the vet at the same time. The dog and both cats. It is a damn carnival in that car, let me tell you.

There was a short period in which I was wrestling 4 carriers to and fro.

Taking one cat to the vet at a time is adventure enough. Which reminds me, I still only have two carriers. I need to obtain a third for the newest cat. Just in case of emergency.

Though if the kind of emergency happened that would require all three cats to be evacuated at once, I'd probably die from it before I got them all corralled anyway.

Bike ride done, woohoo! Today I will finally conquer Day 3 of Triathlon Training, I feel it!

Gotta remember that it takes half an hour of miscellaneous activity to manage a 15 minute bike ride, though. For day scheduling purposes.

ETA: Shoot, in logging my training I realize I have done today before. Triumph diminished.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So lately whenever we've had a lot of rain I've discovered that water had gotten inside my car, and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. This morning I discovered a bunch more water in the car. I was getting depressed, worrying that I'd have to take it to a repair shop, that the warranty might be expired and that they might not be able to find the cause of it because it only happens when there's a lot of rain.

So I drove to work today and then poked around some more to figure out what was going on--and I'm now 98% sure I found the problem. There was a drain hole under the hood that was plugged with rotting leaves, and it looks like the excess water would drain down under the driver's door and also into the dash. So go me! For... using my brain, I guess.

Go you, tommy! Is it a Chevy? The exact same thing happened to my previous car.
