Omg why am I at work? It should be my day off, but I switched days so I could take next Friday off. Except I don't really have much to do. So bored.

I spent half of yesterday cleaning my office. Today I've got a few hours of meetings, and then an hour or so of work...and then I think I'll clean my office some more.
I have nothing to do at the moment--I'm waiting for a client to get back to me.
I'm hoping I can leave early but I'm fearing the client won't get back to us until this afternoon or Monday and I'll end up staying here until the 5:22 train.
Also, I am having pie for breakfast. Pumpkin pie, with pecan-gingersnap crust. Mmmm. The restaurant we are eating at on thanksgiving is not having pumpkin pie. Wtf? So I had to make some.
I drove this morning, and construction just hated me -- I lost a fare on Beacon Hill (they cancelled before I arrived) because I had to detour TWICE and there are only one way streets going in the wrong direction.
I only got like $30 in fares in three hours of driving, seriously. My resolution is to try to stay out of Boston, at least trying to get back over the river rather than get drawn further into Downtown. Also, getting started earlier, before rush hour hits prime time.
Guy with hyuuge shoulders in the middle seat.
On one of my recent flights I was in the window seat. Another plus sized gal was in the aisle seat. I was so relieved that the middle got taken by a tiny gal.
Work is already slow as heck today. I have a bunch of things that I need to get done but the majority are awaiting input from others who SAID they would be working today.
I adulted the hell out of this morning. I had a doctor appointment, but when I got there it was canceled. They tried to call but only had my old number. Which was fine, because I got my flu shot and put on my big girl panties and made an appointment to talk about rescheduling the cataract surgery. I think I can really start to move on once that is behind me.
As a reward I am having french toast at Dennys
Thanks Connie--you reminded me I need to make an eye appointment.
It's terribly petty, but in the past I had such bad vision I could never try colors contacts. Now that I had eye surgery, I have like, 20/30 vision, so mostly don't wear glasses, though I have a cheapo pair. But then I realized I could finally try colored contacts if I got a prescription. Exciting. ;)
My students get the Wednesday before TDay, I am assuming we will have a full class today.
