Surely there should at least be fireworks.
I had one of those dreams that seem to last forever. In it, my computer died, and I couldn't find a computer to research buying a new computer. I went to a library, but the sign in system for the computers was complicated and involved going to several floors and I got lost. (I get lost in dreams a lot.) Then I was in some kind of office and I asked several people who weren't using their computers if I could borrow them, but the people said "No."
I need captions naming the people in the Band Aid 30 video. I only recognize the people who were around for the first one. Also, are they singing "feed the world" or alternating between that and "heal the world"? The latter would make more sense. If you haven't seen the video yet, be warned. The beginning is... grim.
There was a thing on Buzzfeed that had screencaps with everybody labeled, plus the lyrics.
Oh! Here's the most amazing thing I learned over the weekend: The illustrator of Harry the Dirty Dog [link] (among many others) is in the same unit as my father at the nursing home!
Harry the Dirty Dog! Those books were huge favorites of mine, and my kids! Aw.
Congratulations on the grant, too, Jesse, although it not getting the rest of the week off isn't as great.
Aw. Be Nice to Spiders, I remember that one.
Congrats on the grant, Jesse!
Congrats on the grant. You should totally be able to take the rest of the week off.
I have officially declined the Thanksgiving potluck for this Friday. I don't understand why people want to do this, I have enough cooking and eating to do for actual Thanksgiving I don't need a feast at work, too.
"Protect the 40 hour work week" is officially Orwellian double speak, right up there with "right to work" laws that actually protect the right to fire without cause.
