For anyone who needs to feel better about themselves: I have used up all the data for the 4 phones on our family plan. That would include my parents. I forgot that I had to log into wireless, I just turned it on and stayed online since Sunday. Also forgot that wireless at work is locked down, so I cannever use the data at work, must keep doing that on the work phone. Stupid me not thinking.
Also in f'd up news of the day. My boss was just told to cancel our holiday party. It was approved last week, I put out sign up sheets and sent emails this week. Apparently some miscommunication 2 or 3 levels above him.
Now I hate company parties, so yay, but I had spent a day and a half at least finding a venue and running costs and getting approvals. There is a spreadsheet! I wish they would just give us a $50 gift card and be done with it.

That sucks--sorry.
I never use more than 1GB of my 5GB plan, but I need the 5GB because lesser AT&T plans don't have the Personal Hotspot feature enabled. But I think my new iPhone is big enough that I don't need to use the iPad on the train, which means I can ditch the 5GB plan and save some money.
We just hit 90% and I thought it was because when I was in California I kept linking the phone to the car's bluetooth, playing music, answering calls, and running Waze, all on the 4G. But no. It is my son, streaming music without connecting to the home wifi. Grrrr. He has been told he will be paying the overage fee if we go over.

Grrrr indeed.
Yay Gud's new job! Yay Brenda getting to see football!

Oops. Like tommyrot, I need the 5GB so I can use personal hotspot (mostly for my work computer), but can't complain too much since work pays for almost all my cellphone bill (...when I remember to fill out an expense report in a timely fashion)
I miss having the Personal Hotspot that I lost when I went to a cheaper plan, but my plan is a LOT cheaper, so I guess that's okay. I didn't even use it very often, but it was sure nice to have the option.
That's just silly - re: the holiday party, msbelle. And the data plan business is a drag.
Nice one, brenda.
I have my last Meat CSA pickup at the brewery tonight. Bittersweet. I have one more delivery paid for which will be delivered to my house, supposedly. I followed the Pig & Pickle page on Facebook, maybe that will remind me to go get a beer occasionally. And there's what sounds like a pretty comprehensive Help Plan Tomorrow city workshop tonight that I'm gonna have to hustle to get to. I really feel like I should be at that to at least hear what kind of tomorrow is being planned.
Of course, what I really want to do tonight is watch a lot of TV. I suppose that can wait.
I hung up at that point. That's kinda weird and disturbing, right? Getting a telemarketing call after visiting a website? Or is that common now?
I'm confident it's just a lie. Like the ones that open "I'm calling about the trouble you're having with your computer." I guess enough people go with it for them to get somewhere with it, but I'm it's just a vague enough lie that it applies to some people.

That doesn't make me feel better about myself or make me think less of you, msbelle. It just makes me mad at service providers.
Your phone may give you an option to receive a warning when you hit a certain data limit, and/or allow you to cut yourself off if you use more than x amount of data.
