I did see the trailer for S2 of Lower Decks, and I am on board for this.

Yeah. It's a direct follow-up to the 80s cartoon and literally starts off like it's a better animated and acted episode of the original cartoon before taking a turn at the end.
The cast is excellent, including SMG as Teela, Mark Hammil as Skeletor and Lena Headley as Evil-Lyn and I think the general bones are good, the execution is just somewhat lacking.
I’m actually enjoying the new Masters of the Universe more than I enjoyed the new She-Ra. She-Ra was a great show that was in no way like the original, whereas MotU is instantly recognizable.
