Well, Star Wars: Rebels managed to stick the landing. They brought us a satisfying conclusion that didn't step on the toes of the movies.

So while I've been home sick, I burned through season 2 of Netflix's Trollhunters. It's fun, rather like Buffy in its basic concept, but with some high-powered voice casting, including Anton Yelchin (RIP), Kelsey Grammar, and Mark Hamill.
Apparently del Toro is building 3 linked series set in the same small town: the other two will involve aliens and wizards. Because why not?
I thought the show made it pretty clear: the lion turtles gave people the ability to Bend (what later became inborn talent) while the animals taught people how to use it.
Lots of Korra hate in those comments. Blah.
I just saw the "Korra retconned bending into being something you are born with rather than something anyone can learn" comment and, um, no. Just look at Sokka and Katara. I know reading the comments is nearly always a bad idea but, really, I thought people following Serena Williams would have more sense.
Yeah, I saw that one too and thought "What show were you watching?" We had Sokka in the main cast plus tons of other mundane martial artists like Suki, Jet, Mai and Ty Lee.
The conversation with Chip Skylark makes it all better. Whew. [link]
Marvel's Black Panther animated TV series is now up on YouTube: [link]
Oh fuck. Eww eww eww. [link]
Between this and the rumors swarming around about Dan Schneider, Nickelodeon must have been a pretty horrible place in the 90s.
Gah. Horrifying.
