Hello thread. I haven't been part of the conversation here, but I hope I can pop in and ask a question. CJ has been asked to be a part of a group cosplay of Attack on Titan as Connie. I know nothing of this anime and was hoping I could get a readers digest summary of the story from someone here - if anyone is familiar with the show.
Animation 1: I'm Not Bad, I'm Just Drawn That Way
A thread to discuss television and online animation.
I haven't seen it, but I know people who have, except I don't want to get a summary from them since I want to watch it eventually. Are you looking to see if it's appropriate?
Pretty much.
I've seen it. This page has a couple pictures of Connie in his uniform. (It's also got spoilers past the end of the anime, so don't tell CJ what it says) Was there anything specific you wanted to know?
People-Os
Looking back, I guess you want an overview? It basically the story of a war between human soldiers and man-eating giants called Titans. There's a fair amount of gore splashed around(again, man-eating giants) but the worst stuff is kept off-screen and implied. As far as the costumes themselves, male and female uniforms are identical, and the show as whole is nearly fanservice-free. The only thing I can think you might ask CJ is how they're going to make the swords(assuming they're going to be included).
Thanks chrismg, that helps. The girl who is trying to pull this together can be over the top (she is actually CJ's ex who broke up with him in a text). The link is helpful, though I crack up at the personaliy description (notes in parens are mine).
Connie is very emotional and outgoing.(emotional no, outgoing yes) Even in the worst scenario, he always tries to get everyone pumped.(true) Connie is keen on battle and doesn't shy away for the chance to take on Titans.(close enough) His weakness: he is not too bright. (CJ is bright but doesn't always apply that brightness).
Bravest Warriors S2E1 is up! And it's awesome! And can I tell you how much I HATE YouTube? It's a fucking unnavigable, user-hostile shithole.

It's getting worse. But I just download them and then show them on my TV.
Hey, the Bee & Puppycat Kickstarter is about $50,000 away from its goal, with 7 days to go. Pretty cool.
