I might possibly be more concerned about RWBY if it came out often enough for me to keep all the characters and plot threads straight in my head.
Animation 1: I'm Not Bad, I'm Just Drawn That Way
A thread to discuss television and online animation.
...RWBY...much darker this season....
Much. Right from the start of the opening lyrics:
Maybe red's like roses?
Maybe it's the pool of blood
The innocents will lay in
When in the end you've failed to save them?
I would imagine that most of the production crew would be feeling a lot more grim this season.
Yeah, I had a sinking feeling about the tone of the season from the opening credits, both based on the lyrics and the imagery.
As annoying as the release schedule is (especially with the World of Remnant docs interspersed with the actual episodes and the delay if you're not an RT subscriber) at least the episodes have consistently been in the 10-15 minute range this season. There were several episodes in season 1 where the opening and closing credits were longer than the actual content.
I understand them being a lot more somber with Monty Oum's passing and I know they're supposed to working from his notes. I just originally started watching it as mildly-silly high-action escapism, so the darker turn wasn't really what I was looking for.
I'm still not sure what the bad guys' agenda is. Seems like everyone getting eaten by monsters would be bad for them, too.
There are other people who are welcoming the change, though.
What's RWBY?
It's an online web cartoon, American, but done in an anime-style, made in CGI using video game modeling software.
That is the nerdiest thing I have ever heard.

Apparently you never heard about the time Jon B. went to Theremin Camp.
Hey, I represent that remark!
(and I've been to at least three theremin camps...)
