Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

No!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw. Well, I'm not exactly surprised, but a little sad. Otoh, I am maybe more excited for the finale knowing t was always intended as a series finale.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

So, I've started rewatching Justice League. And I have a couple of observations.

1. Superman gets his ass kicked a lot. A lot! Mostly by Wonder Woman, but he keeps getting shot with rays that the Atlantians and aliens have that knock him out. WTF?

2. I always watch with the captioning on. So it cracks me up that whenever anything is fired at the super heroes the captioning always says "Pew Pew Pew" Always!

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

There was apparently a lot of fan outcry about this during season 1, so in Season 2 they brought his power level back up a bit. I think it was an intentional thing to make it seem more believable that Superman needed a team to help him because he couldn't do everything, but it just made him seem wimpy. (For Superman, anyway.)

Well, he's supposed to be Superman, not Kinda-strong-and-tough-man.

It does sort of take the "super" out of Superman. I like that Diana can match him in strength, but he groans a whole lot more than she does.

I object to that—she should be able to beat him via lifelong combat training and the use of magical weapons, but not his equal in terms of raw power.

I'm noticing their relative strengths vary per episode. It's a little confusing.

That's super heroes as a genre. Superman will always be as strong as the plot demands and The Flash will always be as fast as the same.

I agree that it's frustrating, though.

I want to say that when they de-nerf Superman starting in season 2, he's clearly stronger than Diana. But in season 1 they're both all over the place.

But Superman generally takes the role of Worf in this series. He constantly gets clobbered to show how tough the bad guy is. (And because he can have a building dropped on him and get back up.)
