I tried watching it when it first came out and thought it was terrible, especially compared to Spectacular Spider-man, which it replaced. I never went back to see if it had gotten any better.

I heard the one hour premier will be sometime this summer with the regular episodes airing in the fall. No dates yet, though.

I need to catch up on it. I think I'm somewhere in season 3. As long as you skip the Jar-Jar episodes (which thankfully become much less frequent as the show goes on, as the show runners apparently realized there was no way to make him not terrible) you should be okay. The first season is a little rough, but by the time Ahsoka stops calling Anakin "Sky-guy" (shudder) all the time the show actually gets good.
