Ok, after this trailer [link] I'm actually looking forward to Star Wars: Rebels (I was planning on checking out anyway because of Greg Weisman, but this actually makes it look like it could be fun.)
Animation 1: I'm Not Bad, I'm Just Drawn That Way
A thread to discuss television and online animation.
No explanation of just WTF is going on with Nick at the panel, it seems.
Yeah, looks like the bloggers are having a lot of fun, but no real information.
There are a bunch of two minute Gravity Falls Shorts airing on Saturday that my DVR missed because they're not just titles Gravity Falls. Only one is marked as new, but I'm not sure when the others aired or if I've seen them.
Ok, I really enjoyed that episode of Korra, though after initially dismissing the "Su is evil" conspiracy theorists I've seen elsewhere, now I'm concerned. Her most trusted adviser is in league with the Red Lotus and then she lies to Lin to allow Korra to secretly pursue them. I'm worried the team is headed into a trap.
Some actual "Korra's going digital" information, though still not a lot: [link]
Basically, it boils down to there were far more people watching it online than via TV and Nickelodeon would rather free the broadcast slot up for something else.
The last 4 episodes of the season will be online-only, as will season 4. (No word on when that will be released, only that it's currently in production.)
I still think Nickelodeon is completely flailing in response to the episodes that got leaked and behaving erratically because of it.
Huh. A week before a new season of Gravity Falls, Disney promotes it by running a freaking Gravity Falls marathon. See how hard that is, Nickelodeon?
Tom, did you see my post up thread about the two minute episodes airing tomorrow?
Yes, it was me trying to DVR the minisodes that prompted my comment.
