I've seen honest faces before. They usually come attached to liars.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Korra:

This sequence is still fun: [link]

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

So I just watched the first episode of Sailor Moon Crystal:

-It was basically the first episode of the classic series with a few more elements from the manga, which makes sense since that was pretty much the first manga chapter too.

-Still not sure about the new character designs. They seem closer to the manga look, but they also seem more glamorous, and I'm not sure I like it.

-From the end of the episode, we may be getting Ami already in Episode 2, like in the manga? Not sure I like that, one of the things I liked about the anime version is that it has rooms to pace things slower, although if they only have 26 episodes(I think?) they may have to speed things up.

-What do you think about the new color palette? It looks a lot lighter than the classic series.

Adventure Time: Holy Crap, Madéleine Flores is talented. That was her very first storyboard! And she has a full-time gig on Bee and Puppycat!

You can see a lot of the same storytelling rhythms in her comic here.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oooh, I haven't seen it yet. Love Bee and Puppycat. Excited!

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

That was a nice one.

Is it just me, or is this season of Korra really slashy?

I hadn't noticed, though I'm not really slash-inclined.

I'm glad we're getting to know more about Lin this season, even if so far all she's really done is be grumpy and yell a lot, which was all she really did last season.

Though if they fixed Bolin this season, I trust they'll give Lin more to do, too.

Also, two different dads. I wonder how many fans immediately thought "Sokka and Zuko".

ETA: Though I suppose the soap opera storyline would be that Aang had an affair with Toph, resulting in Sue, which Tenzin later found out about, which is why he broke up with Lin (because dating his half-sisters half-sister would be too weird) which is why Lin hates Sue, even if it wouldn't be her fault. (And would explain Opal being an Airbender.)

Of course, I wouldn't want the show to go there, and highly doubt they would.
