Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Also, he moved to Austin last year.

Yes! Now I can delete his contact information (I have a completeness compulsion). It's way too close to Colin Ferguson and I'm always wondering if I'd send him something by mistake.

(Why does my boss keep saying 99.9% of our field uses iPads? It's clearly not true. It's probably not even the right percentage of the tablet users, but certainly not of the field as a whole.)

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ah, remembered another 10 on the pain scale. When I was 4 I had urinary tract problems and before the actual surgeons corrected them my family's gp widened my urethra by snipping down through the frenulum with a pair of scissors and no anaesthetic. I remember screaming and uncontrollably peeing blood after my parents got me home, and suspect I passed out from the pain at the doctor's office since I have no memory of the time from the procedure until I was at home afterward.

I don't like pain. There, I said it.

I don't like pain either. and I have no compulsion about rounding up when I have to talk to a doctor about it.

I'm now looking for flights to New York. I'll be flying out there the Sunday before VividCon and having meetings Monday through Wednesday. Then I'll probably fly back Thursday morning and run home to do a load of laundry, then pack my suitcase again and go back near the airport for the convention.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have a questions for the buffistas about something I need to figure out. Discussion of eggs (chicken kinds, not women things) to follow:

There have been a couple of times when I have been in a restaurant and gotten completely nauseated eating an omelette. I had an omelette yesterday, no problem.

I bit into a crêpe today and after one bite, I was like "oh hell no." I couldn't even truck eating any more of that. Both had avocados, cheese, and eggs, but today's had spinach. I can't imagine that the addition of spinach would have made this unpalatable. but? I eat spinach in salads no problem.

One thing that I don't like is in scrambled eggs when the kitchens don't clean grills properly and I have left over WTF taste in my eggs. I'm thinking this is what happened, but I'm not sure.

Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. I left the restaurant and went to get 2 tacos, but I feel like I threw $$ out because I didn't eat that at all.

I don't even know.

Y'ever looked for something on and off (but anxiously throughout) for hours, and then just looked down at your feet, moved something aside, and found it?

Good lord, I'm dumb today.

Oh, yeah, getting my acne cysts injected when I was a teenager? That was like an 8 on the scale.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Probably the worst pain I ever had was when I got thrown from a horse and broke my arm hitting the ground. Snapped my right arm in half backwards, just below the elbow. It never did heal right; the bone still shows up crooked on X-rays. I am certain I've never had any pain near as bad as what some of us have gone through/are going through, though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You guys, I've never had any bad pain at all. Unless I'm repressing something, but I really think no. The only time I've gone to the hospital for myself as an adult was a mistake when I had the vertigo.
