I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Aurelia, I am exasperated on your behalf. Geez.

I have reached new levels of frustration with new boss lady and her management if the intern. I've pretty much been absent for all of October. Nursery plants seem to be mostly dead due to lack of watering. Water shutoff is next week. Last chance to water everything else. Can't rely on her, apparently.

Also, this is the first time on six years that I've been asked to include my lunch break on my time sheet. So instead of working 8-4 it's been 8-4:30. Whatever. But I've been noting it as 8.5 hours. She's been clicking out a half hour early if she skips lunch. Um, are we actually nitpicking that shit? Far as I knew , lunch was part of the workday. Again, six years of doing it one way here. And the time sheets are mainly for the audits. End of the year, it all comes out in the wash. Do want to count my coffee clutch, too? And all my other overtime? And then knock off early because you indulged in an unhealthy habit? How do I count lunch desk at my desk?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Holy cow, who is this guy?!

Brendon Urie is pretty much adorableness personified. He does backflips off of drum risers too.

I talked to the tenant and he made a mistake and plans on apologizing to you for his mistake.

Yeah, that needs the apology. Glad you've been vindicated.

If you don't get paid for lunch, shouldn't that be 8-12(or whatever) 12:30-4:30?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

The last thing you need is to be blamed for someone else's bullshit in the middle of the night.

Someone had done that to me (a RECORDER?!?!?) and there would have been strong language. My filters when I am losing sleep at set to pan, ic/surly bitch/possible violence. It wouldn't have ended well; dang, I don't think it would have STARTED well. I'm glad your landlord got it into your neighbor's pea-brain.

Went to the doc finally for messing up my back, and am finally getting some relief. It still hurts, but it's to a dull roar now. Soma and Ultram, two new-to-me meds. So far I can think on them, although I took a nap, and am trying to get back to bed, since 3 hours painful sleep isn't enough. But yay, less pain.

Soma is a muscle relaxant, and Ultram, despite sounding like a superhero, is tramadol (a painkiller). Have you tried a heating pad for your poor back? I live and die by mine. I even took it on the honeymoon (and used it, because I am the damn Princess and the Pea and can't sleep in a bed that isn't my own, and end up jacking up my back just from sleeping poorly).

Soma is not nearly as fun for me as its historic roots would indicate. I have always been disappointed by that. But not when it actually fixes spasms, then I am pretty much singing its angelic praises.

Oh, of course Steph and I are posting sequentially on drugs. And not even drugs I know super well.

Nor I. I just have rapid Google-fu when it comes to drugs. (Well, tramadol I know, because the dog has a prescription for his wonky knee, and then the dentist prescribed it for me after a root canal, and I thought it was hilarious that the dog and I had the same meds.)

I've been heating it with a bean bag thing, and those stick on patches (plus hot showers) but had to bite the bullet and see the doc.

I'm a little stoned, but back is better-ish, so that's all to the good.

Those are fantastic. I'm pretty sure I packed one of those on the honeymoon, too. (Yes hello I am 90.)
